I was delighted to do Sophie’s bridal make for her big day, as soon as I met this very foxy and fabulous liver bird, we hit it off straight away.
Sophie came to me for her bridal makeup trial at House of Hair Hostess in Solihull where we discussed her requirements and what kind of look she wanted to go for. Being a proud Liverpudlian she was no stranger to glamour and one of my first questions was if she was going to keep her rollers in for when she walked down the aisle!
We went for one of my signature bridal makeup looks – a smouldering copper toned smoky eye paired with fresh glowing skin and a pouty nude lip. We dialled up the intensity on the eye by using a black waterproof kohl pencil rather than my usually recommended softer brown tone, both of which however worked beautifully with Sophie’s dazzling blue eyes.
Sophie loved the look and messaged me later in the evening to say that the girls back home and her Mum had given their seal of approval and were all really excited to get glammed up by me on the big day.
As I always explain to my bridal makeup clients following their trial, I advised Sophie to see how it wears throughout the day, to take lots of photos with different lighting and if she had any tweaks or changes that she wanted to make to the look we can incorporate those no problem.
We stayed in regular contact over the next few months (adding a few more faces to the running list!) and the big day soon arrived!
Stay tuned for part 2 and please do contact me to discuss all your bridal and special occasion makeup bookings.
